In my last post I announced that the second print run of The Promised Land would be ready in mid-August. I had forgotten about Murphy and his laws.
There were some difficulties between the printer and the revised files (we re-designed the back cover and tightened up a few loose nuts in the text), so the upload took much longer than expected. I breathed a sigh of relief when they were finally shipped.
Then our friends at Purolator, who do a fine job in the city but not so well in the sticks, shipped them from Toronto to Moncton to Sydney, back to Moncton, on to Port Hawkesbury. I drove there and intercepted them just before they started back for Moncton again. Sigh!
Anyway, they’re here and we are very pleased with the new design. We have stocked up several retailers who needed new product, and added The Dancing Moose Cafe to our list of vendors. The next step is to enter the three competitions where we think the book will do well. More on that later.
